Service Provider Testing Configuration of the Test System

This is the configuration form, for an Implementation Under Test (IUT), claiming compliance to the 1EdTech LTI Resource Search (RS) 1.0 German Profile specification. These tests are performed by the RS v1.0 Service Provider Conformance Test System (SP-CTS): Release Beta 1 (2025-08-01). The RS SP-CTS is used to test Service Provider implementations of the LTI Resource Search v1.0 specification. The RS SP-CTS is designed to test all of the mandatory features required for conformance but it will also test all of the features that an implementation makes available operationally.

The IUT features that are tested using this version of the conformance test system are:

  • All of the endpoints - a service provider MUST support both of the endpoints (these enable data reading only)
  • All of the query parameters - only the 'filter' parameter MUST be supported
  • Correct support of the data model - all of the JSON payloads are validated and the supported content range determined and recorded
  • Optional use of OAuth 2 to obtain authorised access to the service provider endpoints.

Follow the simple steps listed below to configure this test system so that it can be used to test the IUT:

  • Select the certification mode i.e. is certification of a new product, a new version, recertification or cross certification
  • Enter the details about the product being tested and contact information
  • For each of the services supported, enter the endpoints that are supported (all required endpoints cannot be deselected)
  • Enter the host name for the service provider and, if appropriate, the OAuth 2 bear token access details
  • Once all of the details have been entered, click on the 'Save and Run' button to start the actual tests.
